A796 SERIES

Aquarius A796 Series comply with ASME/ANSI B73.1M Standard Self-Priming Casing Volute Design.

Aquarius A796 Series is Directly interchangeable with reputed ITT Goulds© 3796 Series and many other ANSI Self-Priming Pump Manufacturers’ ANSI Self-Priming Pump Series.

Aquarius A796 Self-Priming Series can be used in variety of Self-Priming Process Applications as it is having options in MOC of wetted parts like Carbon Steel, SS316, Cd4MCuN, Alloy20, Monel, Nickel, Hastelloy C276, Titanium, etc.

Various industries like Petrochemical, Chemical, Primary Metal, Pharma, Food & Beverages, etc. can use Variety of Sealing options and All API Sealing Plans in Aquarius A796 Self-Priming Process Pump Series.

A196 series ANSI Centrifugal pumps need to be primed by removing air and filling with liquid before they work. This is easy if the pump is underwater or if the liquid is above it, but requires extra steps if the pump has negative suction pressure.

Aquarius A796 ANSI Self-Priming Chemical Process Pump Casing has a built-in chamber that always keeps enough liquid to stay primed.

Aquarius A796 ANSI Self-Priming Chemical Process Pump Casing’s one-piece design includes both priming and air separation features. This means it works efficiently on its own without needing extra priming systems.

Pump Design Features

Fully ANSI B73.1M Compliant
Engineered in full compliance with ANSI B73.1M standards, offering direct mechanical and hydraulic interchangeability with OEM horizontal process pumps, and suitable for self-priming applications within chemical process industries.

Priming and Air Separation Integrated within the Casing

    • The dual volute configuration facilitates efficient suction priming with a minimal initial liquid charge retained within the casing.
    • During priming, the lower volute acts as the intake path, while the upper volute channels the liquid-air mixture into a dedicated separation chamber.
    • Entrained air is segregated and expelled, while liquid is recirculated to sustain the priming cycle.
    • Once all air is removed, the pump transitions to normal centrifugal operation, with both volutes functioning for stable discharge.
    • The casing's built-in liquid retention ensures dependable automatic re-priming, even after backflow events.

Consistent Self-Priming Performance

    • Efficient air evacuation is mandatory for non-submerged, negative suction applications.
    • The A796's integrated priming chamber retains ample liquid for reliable automatic re-priming without external systems.
    • All priming and air separation occurs within the one-piece casing chamber—no auxiliary equipment needed, enhancing system simplicity and operational reliability.

Dynamic Sealing Exploded View

Dynamic Sealing

    • Ideal for corrosive and slurry handling—no mechanical seal required.
    • Eliminates the need for seal cooling water and reduces utility costs.
    • Economical and robust alternative to specialty slurry seals.

High Temperature Application

    • Finned Cooler: Directly cools oil for lower bearing temperature. Requires minimal cooling water.

      Finned Tube Oil Cooler

    • Corrosion-resistant construction recommended for use above 350°F (177°C).
    • Jacketed Stuffing Box: Maintains proper temperature in the sealing environment; ideal for polymerizing or temperature-sensitive fluids.

Ease of Maintenance

    • Back Pull-Out Design: Remove rotating assembly without disturbing piping or motor for reduced maintenance time and minimum downtime.
    • Interchangeable Parts with A196: Core components are dimensionally standardized and interchangeable with A196 pumps for simplified spares and servicing.
    • External Impeller Adjustment: Allows clearance adjustment externally to optimize efficiency and extend component life.
    • Easy Retrofit: Simple drop-in replacement for upgrades and installations.

Safety

    • ANSI B15.1 Coupling Guard: Protects personnel from moving parts, fully compliant with safety regulations.
    • High-Strength Ductile Iron Mounting Adapter: Exceptional durability under mechanical and thermal stresses.
    • Precision-Machined Serrated Flanges: Enhance gasket grip and sealing reliability, reducing leakage risks under varying conditions.
