Priming and Air Separation in casing :

  • Aquarius A796 ANSI Self-Priming Chemical Process pump’s dual volute design needs just a small amount of liquid to begin working.
  • During priming, the lower part draws in liquid, while the upper part expels both liquid and air, removing the air through the discharge and recirculating the liquid.
  • When all air is removed and liquid fills the pump’s impeller eye, it’s fully primed and works like a standard centrifugal pump.
  • Both volutes then act as discharges to handle the liquid.
  • Aquarius A796 ANSI Self-Priming Chemical Process pump casing keeps enough liquid inside for repriming, even if liquid drains back to the supply source.
